This is an official NOAA and U.S. Department of Commerce blog whose purpose is to provide professional scientific information related to the conservation and management of living marine resources in the central and western Pacific. We hope to share the work being conducted by our scientific staff in the field and here in Honolulu (and now in Pago Pago, Guam, and Saipan) in a dynamic, timely, and public-friendly way. As our posts develop, we hope to bring you to our field camps, our research cruises, our publications, and our outreach events.
